Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team Onsite in Fairfield, CA! In this role, you'll play a key part in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes by analyzing products and methods to ensure top-tier performance and reliability. Your expertise will drive on-time, cost-effective hardware delivery while exceeding customer expectations for quality and performance.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll collaborate with the Integrated Product Team to design, control, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and systems. Your focus will be on implementing enhancements that reduce cycle times, lower costs, and boost productivity, all while maintaining strict safety standards and ensuring the highest product quality.

What You Will Do
Support a manufacturing area as part of a cross-functional team by guiding the production team through process troubleshooting and the incorporation of engineering changes.
Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling design, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, and product designs.
Work as part of a cohesive team with test engineering, product engineering, system engineering, program management, and Operations.
Communicate effectively within and outside your team to explain facts, policies, and practices in your work area.
Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence through effective delegation and communication.
Adhere to all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
Flexibility for all other duties as assigned.
You will work onsite in Fairfield, CA, sitting on the production floor.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.

Manufacturing engineering experience and working in a technical environment.
Understanding of Manufacturing Process Equipment (CNC/CMM)
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with military and industry standards.
Solid interpersonal skills - ability to communicate and influence at all levels within an organization.
Prior experience in Explosives and/or Energetics.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Problem-Solving Methodologies
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
