We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, focusing on the expansion and development of new equipment and production lines at our Greenfield facility. Our company is a leader in Electrical Vehicle solutions, creating advanced sustainable technologies for mobility. This role is crucial in supporting our growth and ensuring the successful integration of new technologies in our manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

Bring in new equipment and production lines into the Greenfield plant.

Act as a hybrid project manager/engineer, leading capital projects and equipment installations.

Participate in an extended stay in Japan (3-6 months) to learn equipment and processes, then transfer that knowledge back to the Greenfield team.

Support the xEV Regional PE group for Electric Vehicle products, focusing on Inverter programs.

Ensure production equipment runs to specification, producing products that meet customer requirements.

Lead INV start-up projects and coordinate personnel.

Ensure equipment specifications align with regional requirements and are installed safely and effectively.

Confirm product requirements are met through online testing and validation.

Assist other departments with testing trials and experiments for troubleshooting and countermeasure activities.

Manage small groups and individuals effectively.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and education.

7+ years of experience in a manufacturing/process engineering role.

Experience managing or participating in multi-million dollar projects in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to undertake an extended trip/stay in Japan (3 to 6 months).

Work authorization to work in the United States.

Engineering skills including knowledge of control systems, robotics, mechanics, pneumatics, optical inspection, and computer programming.

Ability to make quick, accurate, data-driven decisions.

Excellent problem-solving, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.

Computer literacy with personal computers and manufacturing systems.

Willingness to support corporate culture with a focus on ethics and fairness.

Ability to lead a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in the automotive industry with emphasis on electro/mechanical devices.

4-year University Degree in Engineering or related field with 10 years of related work experience.

Knowledge of EV components such as inverters and motors.

Understanding of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.

Experience in electronics manufacturing.

Well-organized with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects.

Excellent communication skills for preparing and presenting information.

Ability to lead projects and gain support from multiple departments.

Capability to prepare schedules, budgets, and reports.

Intermediate experience with Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Project Management Software experience preferred (MS Project).

Experience in CAD software (AutoCad or similar).

Work Environment

Our facility in Greenfield, Indiana is experiencing significant growth and expansion. As a Tier 1 automotive supplier, we provide parts and systems directly to major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) like Honda. The work environment includes time spent on the manufacturing floor, in a desk/office setting, and participating in meetings both in-person and remotely. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
