You will be the Mechanical Engineer Senior for the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOFGLSS) team. Our team is responsible for delivering cutting-edge mechanical solutions that enable the warfighter to operate with confidence.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Mechanical Engineer Senior you will be responsible for designing and implementing modifications to military vehicle and aircraft platforms to support the warfighter.

Your responsibilities will include:

Develop detailed mechanical designs and engineering drawings for vehicle and aircraft modifications.

Perform analysis, testing, and validation to ensure performance and safety requirements are met.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems, software, and manufacturing, to integrate solutions.

Manage configuration control and documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

Support rapid fielding of equipment to Special Operations Forces worldwide.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -?This position is located at a facility that requires?special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret?clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

*Experience with 3D parametric modeling in CATIA, SolidWorks or similar software.

*Experience with creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation

*Experience creating ANSI/ASME Y14.100 compliant drawings

*Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

*Strong communication and presentation skills

Desired Skills:

Experience working in an aerospace

environment.

Experience with Catia V5, Creo, SolidWorks or

other 3D parametric modeling program.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
