Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work; checks work in progress and upon completion for quality, adherence to instructions, and to ensure objectives are met. Represents the team in dealings with the supervisor in obtaining supplies, needed information, or decisions on work problems or issues that arise. Reports to the supervisor periodically on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, and progress in team building. Guides team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and in exploring alternatives and determining what improvements can be made. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to analyze and reconcile complex datasets and extract actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Identifies problem areas and recommends actions/tasking to improve operations, correct deficiencies, and prevent recurrence or problems. Collaborates with senior leadership to define reporting needs and advance organizational efficiency initiatives. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service. The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement. Education Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level. This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program as a condition of employment. If you are selected, you will have to obtain this certification within two (2) years of your entry on duty in the position unless you are already in a position that requires a Level 2 Certification in which case you must complete the certification within the original 2-year period. Failure to become certified within the required time-frame may be grounds for removal from the position and/or from Federal service. As a condition of employment, you may be required to serve a during which we'll evaluate whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
