Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with expertise in financial management and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and a proven ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies.

Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to track financial data and generate detailed reports.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external use.

Collaborate with team members to improve financial workflows and operational efficiency.

Support auditing processes by organizing relevant financial documentation and assisting with inquiries.

Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all financial activities. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting roles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and other accounting software.

Strong knowledge of financial principles, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.

Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
