Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This long-term contract role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with foundational accounting experience to enhance their skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to financial processes, reporting accuracy, and collaboration within a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and update general ledger accounts through journal entries and reconciliations.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with organizational standards.

Reconcile inventory accounts and support cost accounting efforts.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.

Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities by analyzing financial data.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and accurate financial information.

Support audits by compiling necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or related functions.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (manufacturing system experience is a plus).

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Knowledge of cost accounting principles is an advantage.
