Summary You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the ENGINEERING DIVISION, PLANNING DEPARTMENT of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. Responsibilities You will provide and manage the identification, evaluation and resolution of waterfront welding and allied process problems. You will provide consulting services (technical direction and work review) on production problems. You will prepare and review welding instructions and procedures. You will determine test specifications and provide repair direction to support planned and emergent maintenance actions. You will conduct and direct studies and test to establish procedures for welding and allied processes used in fabrication and repair of hull structural and mechanical components. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical direction or work review related to waterfront welding and allied process problems by identifying and analyzing technical design and content irregularities to recommend changes for submarine structure and components repair. GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing guidance related to waterfront welding by identifying and analyzing technical design to recommend changes for submarine structure and components repair.
