Director of Business Development, Cybersecurity ID 2025-6903 Category Business Development Type Regular Full-Time Location : Location US-OH-Dayton Telecommute Yes Clearance Requirements Secret Overview FTI is seeking an ambitious Business Development Director with demonstrated success identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) cyber mission marketspace. As a key member in our business development team, you will provide leadership, critical thought, and a strategic mindset to winning business opportunities. You will partner with capture teams, program management teams, and functional leadership to develop account growth vectors, customer engagements, win strategies, solutions, and proposals. Success in this role is ultimately measured by meeting and exceeding acquisition and financial targets aligned to company goals. Responsibilities Build, manage, and grow a high-value pipeline of cyber-related opportunities, leveraging relationships, market insights, and understanding of mission priorities across the DoD. Drive the identification, shaping, and capture of new business opportunities in support of DoD Cyber Security. Collaborate with operational, technical, and functional leaders across FTI to align internal capabilities with external customer demands, bringing forward differentiated and competitive solutions. Assist in guiding potential customers by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses for requests for information (RFI), market surveys, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations. Support bid/no bid decisions, proposal strategy development, resource planning, and overall capture execution. Maintain a clear understanding of customer funding profiles, acquisition strategies, and emerging requirements to proactively position FTI. Contribute to internal growth planning efforts including strategic planning and market analysis relevant to the cyber domain. Help foster a culture of growth, accountability, and high performance within the BD team. Develop and deliver reports and briefs as required. Travel as required by business need. Education/Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance ; Top Secret (TS) preferred. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. 10+ years in federal business development, with at least 5 years focused on cybersecurity programs. Demonstrated success in identifying, capturing, and winning complex cyber programs or contracts, including both new and re-compete opportunities. Familiarity with mission priorities, acquisition environments, and cyber operations within the DoD. Technical or operational background in one or more of the following areas: offensive cyber operations, cyber intelligence, cyber frameworks and infrastructure, defensive cyber capabilities, or information assurance. Experience managing or supporting BD pursuits across various contract @types (FFP, T&M, cost-plus) and contract vehicles (IDIQs, GWACs, OTAs, SBIRs). Strong business acumen and an ability to align capabilities and investments with evolving market trends and customer priorities. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working with executive stakeholders, customers, and partners. Experience leading cross-functional teams through capture processes and business growth initiatives.
