The essence of Louisville is woven throughout with interior design blends elements of the city's heritage, culture and character, felt everywhere from the hotel restaurants to a featured bourbon bar to the hotel's Speakeasy and bowling alley.Guests can also enjoy a dynamic 20,000 square foot urban food hall and market connected to the lobby of the hotel. Transforming Liberty Street into a pedestrian thoroughfare, the market serves as a community gateway for hotel guests and locals alike, inviting the neighborhood in with the smells of freshly brewed Heine Brothers' coffee, baked bread, and smoked barbeque.Job DescriptionHands on training opportunity for someone to learn various aspects of the hotel business. This position is a "utility player" who will rotate throughout various Rooms departments and positions based upon business need. Omni Care Interns are provided a summer/fall internship opportunity that will result in acceptance into our LID (Leader in Development) program at the end of the summer/fall season based upon performance.Responsibilities- Position will rotate between front office, housekeeping, and pool/recreation. Additional departments/roles may be added based on business needs.- Attend to and anticipate guest's needs.- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in scheduling.- Demonstrate excellent teamwork.- Attend Omni Care Internship training and enrichment seminars through the summer season.- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Operations Leader.Benefits:- Receive 2 FREE nights at any Omni hotel or resort after completion of the program.- Housing options available.Qualifications- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal required- Strong customer service skills- Previous experience in a customer service position preferred- Willingness to learn and take on different projects- Ability to adapt to changing environment- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, squat, and lean during daily business for extended periods of time.- Must have STAR CertificationOmni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
