Responsibilities If selected for this position, you will be responsible for performing docketing and complex legal report development using computerized case tracking and record-keeping systems for the District of Arizona. Typical duties include: - Serving as a source of procedural and systemic information on all aspects of docketing functions; - Functioning as a docketing system subject matter expert and training other employees on related processes and procedures; - Maintaining and extracting data from automated docketing databases and systems; - Inputting information into databases and systems and updating records; - Developing and maintaining automated records from initial referral to final disposition and case file closure; - Receiving and reviewing incoming case files and documents; analyzing content to determine the nature of the office's interest and cause of action. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-06: To be eligible at the GS-06 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level. Specialized experience is defined as performing clerical and administrative support duties of a variety of pleadings; performing the entry of data into the electronic file and case tracking systems; reviewing reports to identify recurring errors; identifying errors of documents or case records; assisting with conducting periodic case certification reviews; and producing reports from information within the database. GS-07: To be eligible at the GS-07 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level. Specialized experience is defined as using advanced automation techniques to extract legal data from automated databases; utilizing legal support processes and court proceedings to review reports and identifying recurring errors; conducting periodic case certification reviews; and producing complex reports and documents from different software @types such as tables, charts and graphs. To be qualified, you must @type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. (A typing test may later be required.)
