The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes 200 personnel; fiscal management; communication; technology; legal services; intergovernmental relations; services for the trial courts; and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Interim Chief Administrative Officer Aaron Hood, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.
Salary: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $105,000 but may be commensurate with education and/or experience.

About the Job:
This position serves as Senior Data Scientist with the Indiana Office of Judicial Administration, leading a wide range of projects supporting Indiana's judicial branch agencies, appellate and trial courts, and their customers. The Senior Data Scientist will promote innovation, creatively problem-solve, and create a culture of continuous improvement within the Office of Judicial Administration by assisting in new business processes, adapting internal policies, identifying and promoting best practices, and enhancing services provided by and to Indiana's judiciary.
A Day in the Life:
Broad knowledge and at least 10 years' experience in advanced statistical analysis @types (descriptive, causal, inferential, etc) as well as their methods and techniques (regression, survivor, clustering, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with their application in organizational decision making
At least 7 years' experience in leveraging programming languages (Python and SQL) to build and deploy models and automate data solutions. Experience in developing in medallion frameworks within EDWs as well as logical data management environments.
At least 5 years' experience in utilizing machine learning methods (e.g., supervised and unsupervised) to develop predictive and causal models and improve data insights. Extensive knowledge and practical application of various machine learning algorithms, with a portfolio of successful projects showcasing predictive modeling.
Deep experience in assessing and improving data quality throughout the lifecycle to ensure reliable outputs. Strong background in data quality assessment and enrichment, with experience in implementing data validation and cleansing techniques. Experience in leveraging AI for improving data quality is a plus.
At least 2 years' experience in developing and implementing AI agents to automate complex tasks and enhance decision-making processes. Proven track record in designing and deploying AI agents in real-world scenarios, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and accuracy.
Knowledge in implementing AI governance frameworks to ensure ethical and responsible AI usage. Knowledge of AI governance principles and experience in establishing frameworks that ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulations.
Assist in building monitoring solutions to optimize all aspects of data operations ensuring scripts, jobs, pipelines, and models are functioning as intended and delivering value. Experience in data quality and pipeline monitoring using tools and techniques to optimize performance and address any issues as they arise.
Oversee the design and optimization of data workflows to ensure efficient data processing and integration across various platforms. Hands-on experience in creating scalable data workflows using tools like Apache Airflow or similar, ensuring seamless data integration and processing.
Collaborate with data engineers and BI professionals to create robust solutions and streamline ETL procedures. Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams, optimizing ETL processes and developing AI solutions that meet business needs.
Engage with executive and director level stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into solutions. Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
