Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced OpenText Architect / Administrator to support a major oil and gas client in the Houston area through the planned decommissioning of OpenText ECM and migration of enterprise content into Microsoft SharePoint.

This role will lead the functional and technical activities required to analyze, extract, restructure, and migrate OpenText content, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and minimal disruption to business operations. The position will also partner closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and compliance groups to define migration strategies, recommend process improvements, and facilitate user adoption in SharePoint.

This position is onsite in the Woodlands, Texas and pay $70-85 per hour based on level of experience.

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of experience administering and configuring OpenText ECM in large enterprise environments.

Proven experience leading or supporting OpenText content extraction, migration, or decommissioning efforts.

Strong understanding of document control, records management, and compliance requirements.

Experience managing the full document lifecycle (creation, review, approval, revision, archiving).

Expertise in revision and version control systems and maintaining document integrity during migration.

Advanced skills in data extraction, analysis, and reporting, including Microsoft Power BI and Excel.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to recommend solutions and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
