Work Shift: 6a - 2p Monday-Friday

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for reviewing and integrating hydraulic and electrical systems and documenting technical details into schematics, drawings, and parts lists used in production and service. They will collaborate closely with design engineers, systems engineers, production, and service teams to improve machine performance, manufacturability, and serviceability. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation.

Collaborate with design and systems engineers to identify improved designs and enhanced processes.

Support production by troubleshooting mechanical issues and recommending corrective actions.

Participate in product testing, validation, and implementation of engineering changes.

Ensure designs comply with applicable safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

Develop and support processes that enhance cross functional collaboration.

Assist with practical demonstrations and presentations of proposed solutions to team members and stakeholders.

Review hydraulic, electrical, and control systems to ensure proper integration and functionality.

Combine multiple designs, blueprints, and schematics into comprehensive unified system schematics.

Develop detailed specifications for proposed solutions, including required materials, labor, and timeframes.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Solid Edge or other design program experience

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelors' degree in related field preferred but not required.

Four (4) or more years of experience in related position

Physical Requirements:

Frequently sit for extended periods of time

Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend

Requires employee to occasionally work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.

Occasionally required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.

Occasionally lift 30 pounds
