Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills. The role involves managing a high volume of invoices and ensuring accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Enter and process invoices accurately into the accounting system.

Perform 3-way matching for purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents.

Allocate freight expenses appropriately across different parts of the shipment.

Utilize spreadsheets to calculate tariffs and ensure proper categorization.

Prepare inventory reports and perform month-end reconciliations using Excel, including VLookups.

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Follow directions from supervisors to meet organizational goals and deadlines.

Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounting activities.

Use Microsoft Dynamics for accounting tasks and reporting.

Ensure proper coding of invoices and account coding for financial transactions. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and check runs.

Familiarity with 3-way matching for financial transactions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLookups.

Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Dynamics AX.

Ability to manage high volumes of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Understanding of tariffs and ability to categorize them appropriately.

Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams.
