Owns the execution of omnichannel content across leading US retail partners, such as Petco, PetSmart, Walmart, Target, and Costco. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration with internal teams, agencies, and retail partners to deliver shopper experiences with impact.
This individual will ensure our pet products are represented with compelling and compliant content both online and in-store. This role is responsible for end-to-end execution; gaining all necessary approvals for content (e.g., product detail pages, enhanced content, on-site banners, customer e-mail campaigns) and Shopper Marketing/Instore executions to achieve business goals. This individual plays a key role within the U.S. Pet Retail team, ensuring omnichannel customers have both digital and instore content. This role is a key member of the team that interacts directly with external and internal stakeholders (Customers, Sales, Retail leadership, channel strategists, brand teams, regulatory, shopper agency, and legal.) This skills in marketing, project management, communication and diplomacy are critical aspects to effectively delivering on the role's responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Owns the deployment of Boehringer brand and product content assets (e.g., product display pages, on-site banners, customer email brand messaging/creative) to be placed on key omnichannel customer sites (i.e, PetSmart, Petco, Walmart, Target and Costco.)
Leads and delivers omnichannel merchandising projects once requested from Channel Strategists including proxy cards, proxy boxes, shippers, end caps, pallets, etc.
Assists in the development of content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing objectives. When/where necessary, edits, proofreads, and improves upon agency creative. Handles all POs and invoicing related to omnichannel projects they manage. Functions as the center and own the link between brand, agency partners, content syndication partner and customers across multiple projects related to retail content and brand assets.
Functions as the link between brand and content writers to ensure brand consistency. Owns and manages all project content approvals through the legal and regulatory process (AHRC) to assure brand, regulatory and legal compliance.
Presents and facilitates omnichannel content-related discussions, from strategic to executional, with the external customer counterparts as well as our agency partners. Drives significant component of retail business success, owning direct engagement and influence across multiple sources, internal and external.
Establishes open, transparent communication on a one-on-one basis, deploying strong diplomatic skills and driving effective business communication.Must be able to lead discussions at several levels of the organization, as well as externally with our key customers, using diplomacy to garner what is in the best interest of Boehringer.? Delivering results that have an impact on one's own work and a broader scope; solves unique problems of greater complexity; develops innovative solutions and ensures solutions are consistent with business strategy and objectives.
Manages different stakeholders and influences behaviors related to the use of Boehringer retail content information by communicating success, concerns, risks, and status updates on related work. Collaborates with peers and leadership as well as responsible for sharing learnings, processes, and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required,marketing or relevant field preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years with content strategy and management experience, with CPG experience mandatory, knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics or relevant experience.
Experience in retail with a large to mid-sized corporate customer a key requirement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, SharePoint, and Outlook.
Limited, but occasional travel required (may include overnight travel.)
Salsify and Veeva Vault experience a plus.
Digital & Shopper Marketing, Social Media, or e-retail experience preferred.
Project Management certifications a plus.
