Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.

Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support production needs.

Analyze workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for maximum efficiency.

Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.

Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Prepare and maintain documentation for processes, work instructions, and quality control.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in equipment or appliance production.

Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks software and familiarity with ERP systems.

Ability to react to manufacturing needs or modify project processes as they arise.

Ability to manage several projects at different stages of development.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the commercial cooking or foodservice equipment industry.

Knowledge of welding, sheet metal fabrication, metal finishing processes and assembly processes.

Familiarity with automation and robotics in manufacturing.

Tool and Die knowledge.
