Responsibilities
The Dell Children's Center for Pulmonary Hypertension is seeking a highly motivated advanced practice registered nurse, certified pediatric nurse practitioner -acute care (APRN, CPNP-AC)
to join a growing, multidisciplinary pulmonary hypertension program currently comprised of four physicians and one nurse practitioner.
The APRN, CPNP-AC will play a key role in the inpatient and outpatient management of infants, children, and adolescents with pulmonary hypertension and complex cardiopulmonary disease. This position offers a dynamic blend of clinical care, education, and research within a collaborative academic environment.
Candidate Preferences
Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred
Eligible for or currently licensed as an APRN in Texas
Prior experience in ICU, NICU, cardiology, or cardiopulmonary care strongly preferred
Demonstrated interest in pulmonary hypertension or complex cardiopulmonary physiology
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide advanced practice care for pediatric pulmonary hypertension patients in inpatient (ICU and ward) and outpatient settings
Participate in multidisciplinary care teams including cardiology, pulmonology, critical care, neonatology, and transplant services
Assist with care coordination, longitudinal disease management, and family education
Participate in call coverage and consultative services as appropriate
Academic & Programmatic Opportunities
Participate in teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers
Engage in clinical research, quality improvement, and program development initiatives within the PH center

Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
Master's degree of Nursing required.
