Job Title: Embedded Software EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated full-time software engineer to write and maintain industrial equipment configuration software and drivers for a Windows-based environment. Join our growing industry and become part of a large engineering department.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain configuration software and drivers for industrial equipment.

Utilize creativity to improve product reliability, add features, and reduce costs.

Employ embedded real-time operating systems when appropriate.

Write source code with an appropriate number of comments.

Design software/firmware specifications and draw flowcharts as needed.

Communicate technical issues and software documentation effectively.

Meet with management, sales, and customers to understand goals and report status.

Collaborate with vendors to clearly explain requirements.

Explain theories of operation and manufacturing strategies to service and production staff.

Maintain the integrity of computer and hardcopy files.

Stay updated on emerging technology and maintain good professional conduct.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in C++ and Embedded C programming.

Experience in embedded software and software design (preferred 3 years).

Strong familiarity with assembly language.

Ability to read electrical schematics, block diagrams, and assembly drawings.

Proficient in using a desktop PC and office applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

Ethernet Network experience is a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment

The role is based in an office environment with occasional exposure to a manufacturing setting. Candidates are expected to maintain good attendance and professional conduct.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Dover, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
