Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for handling bags of product, ranging from 1 to 50 lbs., with occasional handling of bags up to 100 lbs. Your duties will include reading ingredient labels, counting bags on pallets, placing scoops and lids on containers, stacking and sealing bags, and operating production line equipment.

Responsibilities

Handle bags of product between 1-20 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

Read ingredients and count bags on pallets.

Place scoops in cans/jars/buckets and secure lids.

Stack and seal bags/cans of product from production lines.

Bag products as they come off the production lines.

Dump bags of product into appropriate equipment on the production lines.

Essential Skills

Ability to follow one- or two-step verbal instructions and written instructions.

Perform routine and repetitive tasks accurately.

Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Basic computer operational skills for data input and retrieval.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

No experience required as in-house training is provided.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a food production facility where safety PPE is required. You will work in a dynamic environment with floating food particles in certain areas. Shift options include 1st Shift (7am - 3pm), 2nd Shift (3pm - 11pm), and 3rd Shift (11pm - 7am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crosse, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.36 - $23.59/hr.
