Summary You will serve as a LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS COORDINATOR in the OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF THE NAVY (MANPOWER AND RESERVE AFFAIRS), WASHINGTON DC. Responsibilities You will analyze key congressional interest areas and program vulnerabilities, keeping organization leadership up to date across the full Congressional/Legislative cycle. You will manage the development and coordination of responses to congressional inquiries. You will plan, organize and execute analytical studies. You will provide general procedures, instructions and policies for administering programs, project management, personnel administration, fiscal management, and operational oversight. You will prepare oral and written statements. You will lead and manage the organization's review of legislative proposals and development of products for posture hearings. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting persuasive engagement with staff to influence perspective on related projects, missions, and interests. Developing and coordinating responses to congressional inquiries regarding equities to ensure consistent messaging between parties, and, Evaluating policies and guidance for impact to programs and recommends courses of action to senior leadership.
