Description

We are looking for a skilled Calendar/Docket Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This role will span three months and requires someone with a keen eye for detail and experience in intellectual property docketing. The position offers flexibility in working hours and provides an opportunity to contribute to patent prosecution and litigation docketing processes. Responsibilities:

Prepare and send out docket reports to ensure the team stays on top of deadlines.

Update and maintain docket records using specialized docketing software.

Review incoming correspondence to identify and record key deadlines and details.

Collaborate with team members to manage intellectual property filings efficiently.

Utilize Microsoft Office tools to create and manage documentation.

Support foreign filings when needed, ensuring compliance with international requirements.

Maintain high levels of accuracy and organization in all docketing activities.

Assist with patent prosecution tasks, including reviewing documents and tracking deadlines.

Provide support in litigation docketing processes as required.

Communicate effectively with attorneys and other staff to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in intellectual property docketing or a related field.

Proficiency in using docketing software and tools.

Strong knowledge of patent prosecution processes; litigation experience is a plus.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines.

Strong communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

Experience with foreign filings is preferred but not mandatory.
