Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to engage in detailed electronic design of microprocessor-based platforms and related analog/digital circuits. The role involves creating circuit designs after comprehensive analysis and utilizing schematic CAD tools such as Cadence OrCAD or Altium, alongside simulation tools like SPICE or HyperLynx.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed design analysis on components and assemblies to ensure designs are cost-efficient, manufacturable, customer-focused, and reliable.

Gather technical data and prepare technical documents, including design verification test reports, written rework instructions, PCB placement and routing guidelines, and Analysis of Alternatives documents.

Maintain an organized history of design artifacts using a version control system.

Complete assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling constraints.

Essential Skills

8+ years of experience with embedded systems and microprocessor-based design.

Experience with the functional aspects of product design, including understanding requirements, general electrical design analysis and documentation creation, design for manufacturing and testing, and design verification.

Experience leading teams, including engineers from multiple engineering disciplines.

Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers.

Protocol-level knowledge of serial interfaces, including SPI, I2C, and UART.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with analog design concepts and design tools such as SPICE and HyperLynx preferred.

Experience with RF communications such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (802.11), and cellular.

Experience with high-speed digital interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, SATA, etc. preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
