Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Rockville, Maryland. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic medical office environment. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional patient care and maintaining smooth front office operations.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming front desk experience.

Schedule patient appointments efficiently using Athena software.

Handle patient check-ins and verify necessary documentation for appointments.

Maintain the front office area by organizing files and ensuring cleanliness.

Respond to inquiries from patients and staff, providing accurate information.

Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless daily operations.

Process payments and assist patients with billing inquiries.

Update patient records and ensure confidentiality in handling medical information.

Monitor and order office supplies to support daily activities.

Manage incoming phone calls professionally, addressing patient and provider needs. Requirements - Previous experience in a medical receptionist or front office role is required.

Proficiency in patient scheduling and using medical software systems such as Athena.

Strong knowledge of basic medical terminology.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with handling patient check-ins and maintaining records.
