Position Summary
The Food bank Coordinator is the primary point of contact for intake at EFAA's food bank, working closely with lobby greeter and intake volunteers to facilitate the flow of lobby and food bank visitors. In addition, this person will provide administrative support for food bank operations and assist food bank participants with accessing other resources at EFAA and at partner organizations. Services are provided in both English and Spanish. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and supporting volunteers, participants, and EFAA staff on a daily basis.
Our preferred candidate has strong problem-solving capacity, effective collaboration in a team setting, excellent customer service and a positive attitude, and an ability to navigate an array of databases and administrative tasks. Must have written and verbal language proficiency in English and Spanish. All EFAA staff are required to contribute to the development of the organization.

Essential Functions
Intake Functions
Coordinate the Food bank intake process during food bank shopping hours
Coordinate the flow of traffic into the lobby and the Food bank, including queue management, assisting participants with the intake process, and general customer service
Meet with new Food bank participants, enroll their households in the intake database, and provide information on additional resources
Meet with food bank participants as needed, , collect necessary paperwork, demographic information, and update accounts in the database
Coordinate intake operations ensuring compliance with USDA TEFAP regulations
Provide customer service to food bank participants, including answering their questions and referring them to other resources when applicable, both at EFAA and at external partners.
Food Bank Functions
Coordinate the daily administrative tasks for the Grocery Pick-up Program, including managing the online ordering system (JotForm), printing pick tickets, intake data entry, communications with participants, and rescheduling for closures
Support Food Bank Manager in creating, updating, and distributing participant communications in English and Spanish, including mass text messaging, informational fliers, and general food bank signage
Support the Community Outreach team with outreach as it relates to food drives with a special focus on food bank related outreach
Support the Food Bank and Front Desk Teams by cross-training in other tasks, to provide front desk coverage as needed
Volunteer Engagement
Lead the training for volunteers in assigned program focus area (intake, lobby greeters), including creating and maintaining training documents, email communications, and volunteer meetings.
Supervise volunteers in assigned program focus area when onsite, answering their questions, troubleshooting problems, and providing training as needed.
Monitor volunteer sign up database (Volgistics) for new volunteers and for empty volunteer positions, and schedule substitute volunteers as needed.
Collaborate with Director of Volunteer Services on volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and appreciation efforts
Coordinate biannual intake and lobby greeter breakfast
Lead daily volunteer "shift meetings" as assigned
Oversee and/or manage volunteer groups and volunteer efforts to support annual/special events including theNALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive and holiday-specific initiatives and food drives.
Food Ordering & Reporting
Serve as backup for Food Bank Manager for CFS Food Orders, Food Purchases,, invoice approval and coding,
Collaboration
Support the Front Desk Team by cross-training in essential lobby tasks and duties to provide coverage as needed
Support Food Bank Manager to collaborate with the Operations Team on the maintenance of food bank equipment and facilities
Collaborate with other program staff at EFAA to provide better service and information for participants who access multiple EFAA programs
Process Improvements
Contribute to brainstorming and generating process improvements for the food bank
Participate in daily meetings with food bank team to drive process improvement tasks forward and track progress
Lead and take ownership of special projects assigned by Food Bank Manager

Skills / Competencies
Required:
High School Diploma / GED
Verbal and Written Spanish and English language proficiency
One to two years of administrative or customer service experience
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Teams)
Ability and willingness to learn and navigate a variety of databases and tech platforms
Prior experience using Excel spreadsheets for data entry and information management
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Capacity to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Comfortable moving between a variety of tasks on any given day
Ability to communicate and work easily with a wide variety of people
Commitment to EFAA's mission, vision and values
Preferred Skills / Competencies:
Intermediate Excel skills, including using formulas, pivot tables, and other functions
Experience working with and building online forms and / or surveys
Experience in managing databases and record keeping
Experience working in a nonprofit, preferably with underserved populations
Knowledge of Boulder County resources
Working Environment, Physical Activities and Equipment Used
Typical office environment. Regularly use computers for data input and other work.
Compensation
This is a full-time position (100% FTE) scheduled 40 hours per week. The salary range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00 per hour. Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.
