Duties Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Provide remote technical support via the Service Desk for NYSIF staff and external customers.- Address service requests and provide assistance to end users as it relates to NYSIF personal computing, both hardware and software.- Image computers.- Provide new employee onboarding support.- Configure mobile devices.- Support all ITS Teams with hardware deployments, installations and system maintenance. - Create and maintain user and instructional documentation. - Assist with the ITS hardware asset hardware inventory, including the maintenance of hardware inventory system data, participation in the annual Physical Inventory and hardware disposals.- Ability to engage in good customer service skills when working with end users.- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:- One year of permanent, competitive class service as an Information Technology Specialist 1; or, one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but aren't limited to: Program Aide, Office Assistant 3, Office Assistant 3 Calculations; OR- 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science; OR - One year of experience in information technology.Please be advised that the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) does not offer sponsorship for employment visas to employees or potential employees.
