Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in San Jose, California. This Contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to a non-profit organization by managing key financial processes. The ideal candidate will excel in handling accounts receivable tasks, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

Process and monitor accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Manage commercial collections, including follow-ups and resolving discrepancies.

Apply cash payments and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

Handle billing functions and ensure invoices are prepared and delivered promptly.

Communicate with clients to address payment issues and foster positive relationships.

Generate reports detailing accounts receivable activities and financial status.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

Maintain organized documentation and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Identify opportunities for improving accounts receivable processes and implement solutions. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.

Strong knowledge of commercial collections and cash applications.

Proficiency in billing functions and managing payment processes.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile financial discrepancies.

Effective communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in financial records.
