?? Warehouse Manager - Job Description

?? Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations, ensuring materials, equipment, and inventory are received, stored, organized, and distributed efficiently. This role supports field crews, installers, and office staff by maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating deliveries, and keeping the warehouse safe, clean, and productive.

?? Key Responsibilities

Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping materials

Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counts and audits

Oversee loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring materials are prepared for jobsite delivery

Coordinate with installation crews to ensure timely and accurate material distribution

Track and order materials, tools, and supplies as needed

Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment

Implement and enforce company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines

Train and supervise warehouse staff (if applicable)

Monitor equipment maintenance and schedule repairs when needed

Work with vendors and suppliers to resolve delivery or quality issues

?? Skills & Qualifications

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience with inventory management systems or basic computer skills

Knowledge of construction materials (insulation, building supplies) is a plus

Strong communication skills for coordinating with crews and office staff

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one

Leadership experience preferred

??? Physical Requirements

Lift and move materials up to 50-75 pounds

Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday

Work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures

Operate warehouse equipment safely

?? Work Environment

Warehouse setting with regular interaction with installers, drivers, and office staff

Occasional outdoor work when loading/unloading trucks

Fast-paced, hands-on, team-oriented environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
