Position Summary
As an Armed Security Officer working at our USS Constitution location, you are responsible for safeguarding the site, while also providing excellent customer service to its visitors. You will control access points, perform patrols, detect and deter unauthorized activity, and respond decisively to potential threats. Your professionalism, alertness, and sound judgment ensure order, safety, and mission readiness at secured military installations.
Key Responsibilities
Protect military installations, personnel, and assets from unauthorized access, sabotage, theft, or other threats
Conduct entry control and identification checks to verify authorized personnel, vehicles, and equipment
Perform perimeter and facility patrols to detect and deter suspicious or unlawful activity
Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
Execute emergency procedures to secure the base during heightened alert conditions
Handle firearms responsibly, maintaining proficiency in accordance with company and regulatory standards
Complete accurate logs, reports, and documentation of security activities
Interact professionally with military personnel, visitors, and fellow officers

Requirements
Qualifications
Education:High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Armed Security Officer (commercial or law enforcement) in the last five (5) years; or minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any US Armed Forces
Must be proficient using firearms (9mm and AR-15)
Age:Be at least 21 years of age or be an honorably discharged veteran
Background:Must not have felony convictions and no convictions for domestic violence crime
Proof of Legal Residency:Must be a U.S. citizen. Dual citizenship is prohibited
Communication:Speak and be literate in English to the extent of writing, reading and understanding printed regulations, orders, instructions, etc
Licensure / Clearance
Possess a valid current state-issued driver's license
Have current or able to acquire Class A Large Capacity License to Carry Firearms
Have current or is able to obtain a DoD Clearance
Job Qualifications: Successfully meet all of the following
Pass Drug Test
Psychological Testing Requirement: CPI/ MMPI tests
Medical Health Evaluation : Physical exam, Visual, Auditory
Physical Abilities Test: 1.5 mile run in less than 17.30 min/ 19 push-ups in 2 min
Be able to wear duty belt (20lbs), stand, walk, run, remain alert.
Training Academy (paid): Upon Hire, must be available to successfully complete mandatory 2-week training. Includes classroom, tactical, firearms range, OC/ Baton, CPR/ First Aid
Compensation & Benefits
During Training Academy, you will be paid at a training rate.
Upon successfully completing all requirements of the position, you will be paid as an Armed Security Officer at:
Hourly Pay: $24.17 +Health & Welfare earnings per hour
