A&P Quality Inspector (Contract Position) - Airbus Helicopters, Columbus, MS

Contract Position

Pay Rate: $40.00/hr.

What You'll Do:

Perform detailed inspections on aircraft systems and components (dimensional checks, damage assessment, functional tests).

Approve or reject incoming materials for production.

Use precision tools and instruments to ensure exact specification limits.

Certify airworthiness and prepare required documentation.

Support continuous improvement, assist with audits, and uphold Airbus' core values.

Responsibilities:

Inspect material, components, and assemblies for quality and compliance.

Check for proper fit, form, and function per design specifications.

Quarantine and report non-conforming items.

Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.

Research directives and validate engineering drawings as needed.

Assist in team meetings, departmental events, and continuous improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current and valid FAA Airframe & Power Plant License

4+ years of aircraft quality inspection experience, or 6+ years as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)

Part 145 Repair Station experience

Ability to read and interpret technical, regulatory, and engineering documentation

Experience with inspection tools and measuring devices

Preferred Skills/Experience:

FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), FCC 2nd Class License, or Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Certificate

Associates Degree in Aviation or related industry

6+ years on Airbus Helicopters as a certified AMT or Quality Inspector

Proficiency in French, German, or Spanish

Note:

Occasional travel may be required (domestic or international).
