Position Overview
A supply chain sales organization is seeking a detail-oriented, execution-driven Sales Operations Analyst to optimize the performance and growth of a fast-paced sales team. The analyst will partner closely with Sales Managers and representatives to deliver the data, processes, and insights needed to accelerate sales velocity, improve performance management, and hit ambitious growth targets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is motivated by solving process and analytics challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance Analytics & Process Optimization
Analyze patterns in sales performance and provide actionable recommendations to Sales Managers.
Deep-dive into sales funnel bottlenecks (e.g., outreach-to-conversion) to identify and quantify solutions for improvement.
Standardize processes across teams to boost consistency and predictability.
Collaborate with enablement groups to translate analytics into updated training resources and playbooks.
Manage and enhance lead-routing logic for fairness and strategic prioritization.
Tooling, Systems, & Data Quality
Build and maintain dashboards that track activities, pipeline health, conversions, and yield metrics at both rep and manager levels.
Ensure top-notch data hygiene within CRM and sales platforms; automate data checks to detect and flag issues early.
Maintain accuracy in reporting KPIs used for forecasting and team goal setting.
Propose, implement, and operationalize workflow improvements in outreach and pipeline management.
Team Development
Provide data-driven input on hiring, headcount allocation, and workload balancing across teams.
Support candidate assessments by helping define success profiles and structured interview criteria.
Recommend and roll out org design enhancements, such as new roles, specialized teams, or territory segmentation for improved market coverage.
Qualifications
Background in Sales Operations, Business Analytics, Strategy & Operations, or related fields.
Proficiency in SQL and/or Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
Ability to convert complex data analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
Comfortable with large datasets and building repeatable, scalable reporting frameworks.
Experience supporting sales teams or working in high-velocity sales environments preferred.
Strong ownership mindset, prioritization skills, and a drive for proactive, constructive problem-solving.
