Invest in you, Join Agropur. We Dairy You! Agropur is actively seeking an Isolate Reactor Operator (aka Protein Operator) at our Le Sueur, Minnesota location. The Isolate Reactor Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, sanitation and maintenance of isolate reactor and related equipment in the BiPro department. How Agropur Invests in you: Schedule: 545 PM to 6 AM on a 2-2-3 rotating shift Starting pay at $27.00/hr Two pay increases in the first year up to $1.00 $1.50 Shift Differential + Double Time on Sunday Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short and Long-term Disability Insurance 401(k) with up to a 7% company match 3 Weeks PTO 7 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays Paid parental leave Advancement Opportunities Healthy work/life balance Tuition Reimbursement What this role is about: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate equipment and control processes in the production of high quality/high value whey products, successfully applying learned knowledge of processes and production methods. Complete CIP of equipment; troubleshooting machinery as needed. Complete all documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Follow all GMP, SOP and HACCP programs. Monitor processes, materials or surroundings; reviewing information by phone, in writing or in person. Accurately identify information by categorizing, estimating and recognizing changes or deviations in circumstances and/or events. Perform operator-level maintenance as needed. Train new/other employees. Understand and adhere to all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management. Learn and execute advanced startup and shutdown procedures of equipment. Effectively operate state-of-the-art equipment involved with the isolation of protein products. Regulate production factors such as solids, temperature, pH; making adjustments to meet all set points. Take frequent readings; accurately logging up to 50 variables per hour. Clean and sanitize all areas of the Protein Department including walls, floors, and equipment according to a Master Sanitation schedule. Understand and troubleshoot product flow's. Other Duties and Responsibilities: May involve the operation of a Critical Control Point as determined by the plant HACCP/Food Safety Plans. Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Safety Protocol Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures. Correct or report any observed safety hazards. Support safety policies and programs. Qualifications: Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Required: Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related field preferred. Certification/Licensure Required: None Skills Required: Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work. Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects, sets objectives and goals, breaks down work into the process steps, develops schedules and assignments, anticipates and adjusts for problems or roadblocks, measures performance against goals, evaluates results. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues. Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work. Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation. Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships. Apply today!
