Job Title: Journeyman Plumber

Job Description

The Plumbing Mechanic will perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on piped utility systems and fixtures, as well as on the piping and connections of equipment. This work is carried out under general supervision using the tools and techniques of plumbing technology. We are searching for a mechanic with significant experience in a role that offers plenty of room for growth.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance on piped utility systems and fixtures.

Install and repair piping and equipment connections.

Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues in commercial buildings.

Use all @types of plumbing tools and equipment, including specialized ones like power augers and pipe threaders.

Work with powered and non-powered hand tools such as drills, grinders, and compressed air tools.

Essential Skills

Journeyman certification.

Experience in HVAC and facilities maintenance.

Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in plumbing.

Ability to install and work with mechanical and electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma.

Experience in commercial buildings.

Work Environment

Work is based in a hospital shop and mechanical area, with exposure to dust, heat, cold, noise, and fumes. Tasks may be performed outdoors under extreme weather conditions. The role requires working in confined spaces, awkward positions, and at heights of up to 30 feet using ladders and lifts. The job demands the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.64 - $37.32/hr.
