**POSITION: Facilities Lead - Electrical

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager and Senior Facilities Supervisor

LOCATION: USVI Territory**

AIRPORT: Henry E. Rohlsen (St. Croix)

SUMMARY The Facilities Lead - Electrical is responsible for overseeing, maintaining and repairing all electrical systems and infrastructure at the airport, with a strong emphasis on airfield lighting and associated equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach, actively participating in electrical tasks while also leading a team of Electricians. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, efficient and continuous operation of all electrical systems in compliance with local and federal laws, rules and regulations, industry standards and operational requirements. This position will be working under the direct supervision of the Assistant Facilities Manager. The Facilities Lead - Electrical will collaborate with other departments to support smooth airport operations and respond to any maintenance related emergencies.**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: **

Leads technical maintenance personnel;

Performs technical assessments of airport facilities and/or equipment;

Performs physical inspection of facilities and/or equipment to be repaired or requiring maintenance and make estimates of the cost of labor and materials required.

Investigate and solve maintenance or construction problems arising in assigned jobs;

Troubleshoot complex equipment and system failures;

Cooperate with outside contractors and firms on assigned projects;

Ensure compliance of safety protocols;

Familiarize new employees with maintenance operations and procedures;

Keep up to date documentation of maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Oversees and performs maintenance and repair on all airfield lighting vault and electrical systems and equipment at all Airport owned facilities.

Performs maintenance and repair work on high voltage airfield lighting circuits. Work includes normal maintenance such as bulb change out, cleaning, transformer replacement and lens replacement, as well as emergency fault location and repair;

Additional maintenance includes pulling and repairing airfield power and control cables.

Performs maintenance and repairs on constant current regulators and their associated monitoring systems;

Performs maintenance and repairs on electrical airfield signage;

Performs maintenance and repairs on building electrical systems including lighting, electrical distribution systems, loading bridges, baggage belts, lift stations, security systems and fire protection systems, etc.;

Installs, tests, calibrates and maintain complex control systems, analyzers, electrical switch gear, distribution equipment and safety interlocks;

Oversees and reviews instrumentation and electrical work performed by outside contractors and tenants**.

ACTIVITIES SUPERVISED **

Installation, maintenance and repair tasks of electrical systems and components as part of airport facilities.

Maintaining in good operating condition all machinery, power units, automotive equipment, buildings, grounds and other structures.

Enforcement of safety protocols.
