Candidates with an interest in these areas are considered: general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, disorders of swallowing, and/or other aspects of clinical gastroenterology as practiced in a tertiary care center. The successful candidate will provide patient care and engage in scholarly work, including teaching and research. This position is full or part time, 80%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS) and Assistant Professor (CHS), Clinical Professor, Clinical Associate Professor and Clinical Assistant Professor. Key Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide direct patient care at University Hospitals and Clinics, the William S. Middleton Veteran\'s Affairs Hospital, UnityPoint Meriter Hospital and at UW Health approved locations as well as outreach locations. The primary clinical practice will include procedural, inpatient, and ambulatory care, to include endoscopy procedures, as well as sub-specialty care in gastroenterology. The candidate will also be involved with teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
