Volunteers of America National Services is seeking a Vice President of Healthcare Operations to oversee and elevate multi-state healthcare operations, including Senior Choice at Home, PACE development, capital investments, culinary operations, supply contracts, and business intelligence. About the Job: Responsible for the oversight of healthcare operations including culinary, supply contracts, capital investments, development of PACE, and business analysis in compliance with federal, state and Volunteers of America National Services requirements and standards for assigned regional area. Essentials: The Vice President of Healthcare Operations/Senior Choice at Home' responsibilities can be divided into six (6) broad categories: Organization; planning; management; financial resources; human resources and leadership. Oversee the supervision of each facility/program to ensure that an adequate level of service is provided in a manner which enhances the financial performance of the program and the individual worth and dignity of each resident. Ensure that the region is in full compliance with governmental rules and regulations and organization policies. Participate in on-going educational programs in the profession to maintain professional status and remain current on trends in the healthcare field. Participate with the Senior Vice President of Healthcare in periodic regional reviews. Monitor the hiring, training supervisory and termination practices of assigned programs to ensure compliance with organization policies and governmental regulations. Oversee and/or develop special project assignments with may be specific or general in scope to benefit the structure and goals of the organization Senior Choice @ Home: Responsible for managing all growth, financial, satisfaction, quality and compliance aspect of the program Create and manage a sales plan for enrollments. Oversee care management of enrollments. Assure financial viability of the program. Assure compliance with insurance regulations. Culinary/Food Cost and Service Oversight: Responsible for managing and monitoring all culinary and food-related expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality in food services. Analyze food cost reports and implement strategies to optimize budgeting and spending. Collaborate with culinary teams to enhance menu offerings while maintaining budgetary constraints. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Supply Contract and Service Oversight: Manage and oversee all supply contracts to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance with organizational standards. Negotiate and evaluate supplier contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to service delivery. Conduct regular reviews of supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement. Capital Investment Oversight in Facilities and Maintenance Oversee capital investments related to facilities and maintenance, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to project timelines. Collaborate with onsite maintenance employees and construction services to plan and implement facility upgrades and renovations. Monitor project budgets and timelines, providing regular updates to stakeholders. Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and organizational policies. Development of PACE Services Assist in the strategic development and implementation of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) services. Work with management teams to develop and enhance PACE . Work with operational teams to prepare for successful CMS and State Audits Conduct market research to identify community needs and opportunities for PACE expansion. Evaluate the effectiveness of current services and recommend improvements. Business Analysis and Intelligence Tool Development Conduct comprehensive business analyses to support decision-making processes for senior leadership and enhance business intelligence capabilities. Generate and analyze reports based on data analysis to inform strategic planning. Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Healthcare and Regional Vice Presidents to identify key performance indicators. Assist in the development and implementation of advanced business intelligence tools for data reporting. Healthcare Facility Licensure Compliance: Ensure that all healthcare facilities maintain current licenses and comply with regulatory standards. Regularly review and monitor licensure requirements for all facilities. Prepare documentation necessary for renewals and submit them to the appropriate regulatory agencies. Program Acquisitions or Divestitures Oversight Oversee and facilitate the acquisition or divestiture of programs, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals. Conduct due diligence and financial analysis for potential acquisitions or divestitures. Collaborate with legal and financial teams to negotiate terms and finalize agreements. Develop and manage transition plans to integrate new programs or phase out existing ones seamlessly. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field. Minimum of ten (10) years' successful executive management experience. Licensed as a Healthcare Administrator with the state in which they are working. Multi-state experience and the ability to manage multiple facilities and services. Excellent communication skills. Understanding basic computer skills.
