JOB SUMMARY

Serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a positive and professional

experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability

to multitask effectively.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manages incoming non-emergency calls with professionalism and courtesy. Enters relevant

information into the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system accurately and efficiently.

Greets and assists individuals who enter the lobby, providing information and direction as

needed. Maintains a welcoming and organized reception area.

Assists in coordinating traffic control events as required, ensuring smooth traffic flow and

safety for all participants.

Investigates motor vehicle accidents and completes reports pertaining to same.

Provides administrative assistance to the Records Department, including paperwork

processing, filing, and data entry tasks.

Serves as a certified car seat technician, offering guidance and assistance to individuals

seeking help with car seat installation and safety.

Coordinates and sets up extra patrols and house watches as directed, ensuring the security

and safety of designated areas.

Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

Reports to police sergeant and/or lieutenant.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma

Licenses or Certifications:

Must be able to obtain ACIC user certification.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of computers and basic computer programs.

Skill in typing, writing of reports, taking measurements.

Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

Frequently stands, walks, talks, and hears; occasionally sits; uses hands to handle objects; reaches

with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs, or balances; specific vision

requirements include close, color, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to

adjust focus; occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Works in all @types of weather to

include rain, snow, heat, cold etc., as necessary to complete tasks.
