POSITION TITLE: Night Auditorand#10;DEPARTMENT: Hoteland#10;SALARY: 15.00 POSTING DATES: Until Filledand#10;Position Summary: Checks front office accounting records for accuracy and, on a daily basis, summarizes and compiles information for the hotel's financial records. Tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics. Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel;s financial performance for the day. Employee will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor.and#10;and#149; Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts.and#10;and#149; Process guest charges voucher and credit card vouchers.and#10;and#149; Post charges to guest accounts that have not been posted or were incurred on the night audit shift.and#10;and#149; Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.and#10;and#149; Checks to see that all charges are assigned to the appropriate departments.and#10;and#149; To verify that all transactions performed at the front desk are supported by documentary evidence and signatures as necessary and that they have been correctly posted and allocated in to PMS system.and#10;and#149; To verify all charges posted from the PMS software, POS software had reached the correct guest portfolios and also not missing.and#10;and#149; Verifies all account postings and balances.and#10;and#149; Verifies that room rates are correct and posts those rates to guest accounts,and#10;and#149; Monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs.and#10;and#149; Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities.and#10;and#149; Summarizes results of operations for management.and#10;and#149; Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.and#10;and#149; Prepare end of day procedure.and#10;and#149; Follow end of day/Night Audit Checklistand#10;and#149; Must have complete knowledge of emergency procedures.and#10;and#149; Balance the day's charges, making corrections as necessary.and#10;and#149; Perform wake-up calls.and#10;and#149; Run end of day process in property management software (PMS).and#10;and#149; Understand principals of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.and#10;and#149; Knows how to operate PMS and other front office equipment's.and#10;and#149; Respond to guest's needs, special requests, and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed.and#10;and#149; Perform nightly balancing of in-room video and long-distance telephone services.and#10;and#149; Is able to function and understand as a front desk clerk and knows how to perform check-in and check-out procedures.and#10;and#149; Other duties as may be assigned.and#10;Job Requirements:and#10;Education, Experience, and Certifications:and#10;and#149; Previous experience working as a night auditor/front desk clerk in large hotel industry operations preferred.and#10;and#149; Read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.and#10;and#149; Attend meetings as required.and#10;and#149; Ready to work varied shifts during Weekdays, weekends, and holidays.and#10;and#149; Ability to work under pressure.and#10;and#149; Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and background investigation.and#10;Knowledge and Skills:and#10;and#149; Ability to work as a team andand#10;and#149; Uses good communication skills.and#10;and#149; Computer skillsand#10;Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:and#10;and#149; Perform all physical aspects of the positions, including being mobile, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds at a time.and#10;and#149; Ability to recognize and react calmly and effectively in hazardous/dangerous situations.and#10;and#149; May be exposed to verbal outbursts as part of the environment.and#10;and#149; Work environments range from quiet work areas to bus, noisy indoor and outdoor spaces with several groups talking amongst themselves concurrently.and#10;and#149; Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.and#10;and#149; Observe all areas of the hotel lobby with clear vision.and#10;and#149; Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
