This role is nearly 100% remote, with just one day a quarter in office for a meeting.

Our client is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the financial accounting and reporting functions for the organization and its subsidiaries. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, developing efficient accounting policies, and delivering strategic financial insights to guide business decisions. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader skilled in managing accounting operations, solving complex financial issues, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

Direct daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards.

Prepare and review financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies.

Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Manage and coordinate external audits, ensuring timely and precise completion.

Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering thorough analysis and strategic suggestions.

Collaborate with financial planning and analysis teams to align financial goals with business objectives.

Mentor and guide accounting team members, encouraging continuous growth and a high-performance culture.

Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and industry trends to ensure best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of seven years of progressive accounting experience, with at least four years in a supervisory role.

In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency with accounting software, databases, and advanced Microsoft Office tools.

Strong leadership abilities with a focus on achieving results and driving team success.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex financial challenges.

Advanced communication skills, capable of clearly explaining financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications include CPA certification, MBA, or experience with ERP systems such as Oracle.
