About this Role - Field Mechanic We are looking for a talented Field Mechanic who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all @types of wire pulling and stringing equipment, heavy equipment, trailers, and vehicles used for electrical construction projects throughout the region. What You'll Do -Diagnose, inspect and repair diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, compressors, generators, suspensions, brakes, transmissions, fuel injection systems, ignition systems and air tools -Replace and repair damaged components -Perform engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, oil changes and maintenance checks and all equipment -Troubleshoot, maintain, and repairing all @types of heavy equipment, trailers, aerial lift platforms, bulldozer, bucket trucks -Annual DOT and Crane Inspections -Perform vehicle preventative maintenance -Extensive travel required What You'll Bring -2-4 years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment (wheeled and tracked) or trucks -Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and diagrams -Strong welding (Stick/MIG) and fabrication skills -Must possess a valid class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) -Basic understanding of DOT Regulations -Basic understanding of iPhones, iPads and computers -Good organizational and recordkeeping skills -Ability to travel to job sites and provide mechanical oversight to equipment on numerous projects throughout a geographical area -Proficient in the use of diagnostic and testing equipment -Customer service skills -High School graduate. -Must possess a valid class A Commercial Drive License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one. -Ability to travel to job sites and provide mechanical oversight to equipment on numerous projects throughout the region.
