General Office & Marketing Assistant

McKissick Associates Architects is hiring a full-time General Office & Marketing Assistant to support our award-winning architectural practice specializing in K-12 schools, historic preservation and adaptive reuse development. You'll work directly with firm leadership to coordinate proposals, organize marketing materials, handle event logistics, and keep our office systems running smoothly---all in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. We're looking for a mindset more than a skillset - someone who can adapt and learn.

This is an in-office position based in Harrisburg, PA. Remote work is not available for this role.

Responsibilities:

Assist with preparation and submission of proposals (RFQs and RFPs)

Coordinate participation and reservations for conferences and trade shows

Maintain project data, staff resumes, and portfolio materials

Organize shared digital files, forms, and marketing templates

Communicate with vendors, consultants, and clients by phone and email

Support day-to-day office operations and work directly with the firm owners

Qualifications:

Some college coursework or equivalent experience preferred (attitude matters more than credentials)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and follow-through

Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Comfortable learning and exploring new software features independently

Bonus: Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Canva, or video editing tools
