Data Scientist - Advanced Analytics

CTG is seeking to fill a Data Scientist - Advanced Analytics position for our client.

Location: Remote

Duration: 5 months

Duties:

Apply advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and predictive techniques to solve complex business problems and drive data-informed decision-making.

Perform data preparation, exploration, and feature engineering across structured and unstructured data sources.

Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models, optimization models, and simulations to forecast trends and recommend business optimizations.

Utilize mathematical optimization, discrete-event simulation, rules programming, and advanced analytical methods to support operational and strategic initiatives.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations.

Design and implement custom analytical and machine learning models for use cases such as supply chain optimization, pricing, risk assessment, and fraud detection.

Document methodologies, assumptions, and results, and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Python and analytical development environments such as PyCharm, VS Code, and Jupyter Notebooks.

Strong experience with data manipulation and analysis tools including Pandas, NumPy, and Dask.

Data visualization expertise using Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly.

Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

Knowledge of shell scripting and automation.

Proficiency with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab) and CI/CD tools such as Docker, Podman, and Jenkins.

Optimization and operations research experience using tools such as IBM CPLEX and Gurobi.

Strong statistical analysis background with tools such as R, SAS, SPSS, and Python.

Solid understanding of machine learning techniques, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics methodologies.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Advanced Analytics professional delivering end-to-end analytical solutions.

Demonstrated ability to apply advanced analytics in real-world business @contexts with measurable impact.

Experience working with large, complex datasets and diverse data structures.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
