As a Security Officer - Armed in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively patrol retail locations, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.

Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide assistance to employees, customers, and visitors as needed.

Complete detailed reports regarding incidents, observations, and/or activities encountered during shifts.

Follow all protocols related to the carrying and use of assigned firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal policies and legal requirements.

Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during critical events at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

An armed guard card or license is required.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
