In the role of Water Resources Designer/EIT, we'll count on you to: - Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities- Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations- Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design.- Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies- Perform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression- Local candidates preferredRequired Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe HDR is our company.
