Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

Controls Engineer position responsible for performing a variety of mechanical and electrical engineering functions. The role supports the design and application of all pumping controls-related accessories, involving engineering duties such as calculations, CAD drafting, testing, and other technical functions.

Responsibilities

Perform calculations and CAD drafting for design purposes.

Support the design and application of pumping controls accessories.

Design control panels including layout and general arrangements.

Work with analog sensors and provide sales support.

Engage in continuous process improvement.

Program PLCs for effective control systems.

Document processes effectively.

Conduct testing and other technical functions.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD for plan changes.

Understanding of UL 508 certification requirements.

Experience in control panel design and analog sensors.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering discipline, or an associate degree in electrical engineering with 3 years' experience, or 10 years' experience as an Electrical Controls Designer.

Three to five years of experience in a technical manufacturing or similar environment.

Proficiency in mechanical and electrical component design and application.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with centrifugal pumps is a plus.

Ability to use MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.

Productivity with minimal supervision.

Quick learning capability and ability to advance skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

This role requires working onsite with 10%-15% travel to customers. The work involves using various software tools and participating in a collaborative team environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Old Saybrook, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
