Responsibilities

Provide support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.

Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determine the situation, and develop a plan of action.

Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehend the severity of the injury.

Monitor patient condition and perform data collection. Communicate findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).

Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

Experience with Athletes: Prior experience working with athletes or in an athletic setting is highly recommended. A strong understanding of the unique demands and dynamics of athletic environments is essential.

Independence and Accountability: Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and demonstrate sound judgment while adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Field or Event-Based Clinical Experience (Preferred): Experience providing clinical support at events or in field settings is not required but will be considered a strong asset.

Pediatric Experience (Preferred): Experience working with children or adolescents is a plus, especially in a clinical or athletic @context.
