Job Description

Scans intake packets, consisting of social history and acknowledgments of several policy information into ICON.

(Iowa Medical and Classification Center (IMCC) receives all males incarcerated in the state of Iowa, with approximately 75 admissions each week.)

Coordinates the Apprenticeship Program ensuring incarcerated individuals meet the qualifications to enroll in the program, as well as ensuring all program completion requirements are met.

Works with the Treatment Team and incarcerated individual work supervisors to open jobs and communicating applicants to work supervisors

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:

One year of full-time work experience in general office, clerical, data entry/processing, or related work.

A total of one year of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.

Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of full-time work as an Administrative Support Assistant 1.

Additional Qualification Requirements

Within a period of time after hire, as determined by the appointing authority, employees in this class may be required to @type at least 40 WPM net as demonstrated by the completion of a typing examination.
