Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) , you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team

Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely

Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds

Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly

Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate

What qualifications you will need:

Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

St. Mark's has expanded emergency access to the communities we serve with two free standing emergency centers, Taylorsville Emergency Center (https://mountainstar.com/locations/st-markshospital/) and West Valley Emergency Center (https://mountainstar.com/locations/st-marks-hospital/) . Both locations have 10 plus patient rooms are staffed 24/7 by experienced board-certified emergency room physicians, nurses and support teams from St. Mark's Hospital. In addition to ER care, both facilities give comprehensive imaging services, including computerized tomography (CT scan), Xray, and ultrasound as well as a fully-equipped medical laboratory.
