The student will coordinate with their manager to establish a schedule that meets both departmental needs and the student's availability.Number of positions:3Department:824 - Performing Arts CenterContact Name:parris bradleyContact Phone/Extension:94762 Position Summary Information Job Description Summary:This position is based in the Mullen Center for the Performing Arts. The Marketing/PR Assistant will support the Mullen Center Communications Manager on a variety of projects aligned with the department's strategic communications goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Write and edit marketing copy and creative content

Plan, write, and execute social media campaigns

Assist with subscription and ticketing marketing efforts

Create and distribute department e-newsletters

Update and edit website content

Provide general administrative support, including mailing, filing, and office organization

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:The student must have an intermediate competency level in WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Excel and Microsoft Word

Good interpersonal skills required. Position requires interaction with students & employees. Ability to deal discreetly with sensitive information.Additional Information:

Help manage the subscription renewal process, including direct communication with subscribers and database entry

Draft press releases and web content

Create a training handbook for student employees

Assist with general office tasks such as mailing, filing, and administrative support

Video editing skills are a plus

Physical Demands Summary:The essential functions of this position may require the ability to perform tasks involving physical exertion, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to [insert weight, e.g., 25 lbs]. The role may also involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing and the use of hands and fingers for tasks requiring fine motor skills.
