Electrical Estimator

My client is a growing commercial electrical contractor that has dominated the New Jersey market for over 30+ years. They actively compete on a variety of projects scaling from $1 million to over $40 million! They pride themselves on longevity and culture with most staff being there for over 10+ years. They are actively looking to bring on a Electrical Estimator to their team. This opportunity offers mentorship, large projects and growth opportunity.

Responsibilities (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned)

Prepare quantity take-offs of electrical and low voltage systems

Prepare detailed estimates including assigning material and labor values to take-offs

Acquire vendor pricing on specialty materials, equipment and systems

Evaluate and assist with subcontractor and vendor scope and pricing review

Participate and coordinate in project kick-off and turn-over meetings

Provide leadership, training and motivation to estimating staff

Provide accurate monitoring of department employees performance by having higher level of interaction on a day-to-day basis

Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programs

Be responsible for talking to executive management to have conversations on whether or not to bid on something

Work with other execs to complete proposals and estimates

Get quotes for vendors, look at pricing for lighting fixtures

Communicate with GC's

Additional Qualifications

Estimating ability in the industrial, commercial, or life science

Ability to manage multiple estimates at one time

Accubid proficiency

This is a Permanent position based out of Somerset, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
