GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Responsible for operating and monitoring solar plant equipment outside of the control room. Records operational data and reports any abnormalities. May perform minor maintenance tasks such as adjustments, corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and control solar power generation systems to ensure optimal performance.
Inspects all solar equipment inside and outside, checks and lubricates equipment in accordance with the prescribed procedure, periodically records readings on log sheets as directed, and reports all non-routine items found.
Utilizes AECC's Enterprise Asset Management System to identify the need for maintenance and track all activities and statistics required to support maintenance and operations functions. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and tools.
May be required to travel to other facilities and performs work as directed.
Participates in the training program and continually seeks to improve the skills required.
Cleans assigned area as directed.
Maintains familiarity with, observes, and practices all safety precautions. Maintains familiarity with and abides by all applicable internal AECC policies and procedures regarding NERC and FERC compliance.
Performs duties in such a manner that applicable laws, regulations, and permit requirements including environmental permit requirements are adhered to.
Carries out security duties as necessary and as directed including screening/identifying visitors and performing security patrols to enforce security policies.
Assists with equipment lockout/Tagout for maintenance by positioning energy isolation devices as directed.
Performs preventive maintenance on all solar equipment in accordance with schedules to ensure reliable equipment operation. Coordinate with team members on maintenance schedules and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.
The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
O&M Tech I- High school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
O&M Tech II- High school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 3-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
O&M Tech III- High school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 6+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license.
Knowledge of electrical circuits and systems is essential.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Industrial electrical license or related electrical experience.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Willingness to work outdoors, at heights, and in various weather conditions.

Some travel 10%.
